Deepa akka’s Shrimp masala


Prawns – 1 lb
Pearl onion – 1lb
Tomato – 1
Green chilly – 1
Ginger and garlic paste – 1″ ginger & 4 pods of garlic
Chilly powder – 2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
Salt to taste
Oil – 1tbs
Coconut oil – 1 tsp


Heat oil in a pan. add onion and saute till it gets golden brown.

Add chopped tomato, green chilly after 2 minutes add the ginger, garlic paste.

Cook till the oil seperates from the onion, add the prawns , turmeric powder, chilly powder.

Keep the flame low, cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Garnish with coconut oil and cilantro leaves.
