Almond/Badam Halwa


Almond/Badam – 1 cup
Sugar – 1cup
Milk – 1/2 cup
Water – 1/2 cup
Ghee/Clarified butter – 2tbs
Yellow food color


Boil the almond in water for 20 minutes.

Remove the skin and grind into fine paste with adding milk.

Heat heavy bottomed pan add sugar and water, boil it until it gets string consistency. String consistency is when we test the syrup between thumb and forefinger, it will form a string.

Add the almond paste. yellow coloring and Ghee and stir continuously.

Take off the flame after 15 minutes or when the mixture comes together into one thick lump

Cool off and Yummy Badam Halwa is ready 🙂
