Szechuan Pork


Ingredients:

Pork – ½lb pork belly
Chili bean sauce – 1 tbsp
Sweet red bean paste – 1 tsp
Red bell pepper – 1 finely chopped
Green bell pepper – 1 finely chopped
Soy sauce – 1tsp
Sugar – 1tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
White pepper – a pinch

Note: Chili bean sauce and red bean sauce can be bought at any Chinese store

Method:

Boil water in a deep pan add the pork cover & simmer for 30 mins.

Drain the water and thinly slice the pork.

Heat oil in a pork. Add the sliced pork, stir fry until it shrinks.

Add the red bean sauce, Chili bean sauce and mix well.

Add the bell peppers, soy sauce, sugar, salt and pepper.

Stir fry for 5 more minutes.

Serve with steamed white rice.
